Photograph a paper jobcard and it reads the work, the parts, the technician, the meter reading and the cost, shows you what it read, and files it against the asset once you say yes. It will also answer questions about that machine from its live service state. It is off unless you switch it on, and switching it off takes one tap and no conversation. Questions people ask
What counts as an asset?
Anything you track. A prime mover, a rigid, a ute, an excavator or a trailer. If it isn't in AssetPass, you aren't paying for it. Add and remove them whenever you like and the next invoice follows.
Do trailers cost the same as a prime mover?
Yes. $7, same as everything else. We used to charge less for a trailer, and it made the price impossible to predict: whether an asset counted as powered or towed came down to a dropdown, so the same hundred assets could bill anywhere between $500 and $800 and nobody could say which figure was right. One rate for everything is worth more to you than a discount you can't forecast.
Is there a minimum?
$35 a month, which is five assets. Above that you simply pay for what you have.
Do I pay per user?
No. Put your whole crew on it. Every driver doing prestarts, every mechanic on the workshop iPad, the office, the lot. All included. Charging per head on a product that only works when everyone uses it never made sense to us.
What happens after the 30 days?
Nothing disappears. If you don't carry on, the account goes read only. Every asset, prestart, jobcard and document stays exactly where it is and you can still open it and print it. We don't take a card to start the trial, so there is nothing to cancel.
Am I locked in?
No contract. It's month to month, and you can leave whenever. Ask us and we'll invoice you for a year up front instead. That way you get two months free.
What if an asset is off the road for a while?
An asset counts for any month it was in service. Park one up for a whole month and it stops billing until it comes back. Its history stays, and stays free. A float that sits all winter isn't costing you anything to keep records on.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, it's yours. Service history exports as a PDF per asset, and we'll hand over the rest on request.
Is GST included?
No. Prices are ex GST.
Is the Assistant included?
It is the one thing that is not. The Assistant reads a photographed paper jobcard and files it against the asset, and answers questions about that machine. It is $2 an asset a month on top of the $7, it is off unless you turn it on, and it is free for the whole trial so you can decide with it rather than about it. Everything else on this page is in the $7.
Can I use this outside Australia?
Yes. It is built in Australia and the wording leans Australian in places, but a daily walkaround check and a maintenance record are a legal duty in the UK, Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Ireland too, and the product does not care which country an asset sits in. Two honest caveats: billing is in Australian dollars, and the tax line on a jobcard is currently fixed at 10% GST.
